Zitat von dreyer-bande
Hallo Spockcat,
GrußThe photo is of a Phaeton center console with what appears to be aluminum tubes that fit the correct diameter of the cupholders. The tubes go all the way to the bottom of the cupholders and perhaps 4 to 5 cm above the cupholders. The photo was taken by a Phaeton owner from Canada while he was in Germany.
Something like this would be great for the Touareg but you would need 2 different sizes. I have searched for the proper sized aluminum tubes but haven't found anything yet.

Frank
There is a problem with your Touareg. Someone swapped the engine with a V10 but it will never run properly. No manual transmission on the V10. Exhaust must be dual pipes front to rear. And where is the clutch pedal for the manual transmission?

Thanks to Theresias, I was able to get the correct coding and make the paddle shifters function. According to the price list this was a 780 Euro option in 2004. This can be done for about 1/3rd that cost.
Please visit my installation page if you have any questions: Paddle shift installation

I am attempting to add the paddle shift option in my Touareg. We don't get this option in North America. I've installed the paddles and the wiring to the transmission controller but the paddles are not working. I suspect that there is some module coding required to enable them. I need the code readouts from someone who already has the paddle shifters in his Touareg. Can anyone help?

He only needs the last 3 digits of the part number - "trim code or color code".

I am GREEN with ENVY over the event, the photos, the support VW gave you. I hope to make it there for next year. EXCELLENT WORK!

Oliver,
I have not turned on the variable service interval system so there is nothing I can check.

Oliver,
If you are talking about the variable service intervals that are determined by the computer, the Touaregs in North America do not have this option. But I believe it can by activated by the VAG-COM. I have seen this option mentioned here: http://www.openobd.org/vw/touareg_7l.htm

Sorry for the English. Better would be to get the original company that makes the wood trim to make the cover in the original wood colors - plastic trim also.
