    MemphisStein,

    (hope you understand english)

the exhaust tips from B&B are actually from the Belgian tuner Caractere (http://www.caractere.com). I have them on my R5, and they were installed by my dealer for about 600€, I guess (both tips + installation + cutting of the bumper).

They look very shiny when they're new, but are almost completely black (dirty diesel particles) now.

Also, ich bin mal so frei und übersetze mal den Text von Jonee.

Jonee sucht die Paddels als Ersatzteil, daher die frage nach der Ersatzteilseite von VW, die Teilenummern scheint er ja zu haben.

    Super,
    danke schön!

FrankS, I already spoke Spockcat about the paddles, he gave me the part nbrs just because I thought it would be easier to order them in Europe, rather than have him import them to the US before sending them back to Belgium. The cable is made by him, so i would need that in any case.

I asked my dealer (i believe you guys call him :) ) the price of the parts, and this is the quote i got:

    3D0953543B01C (2 paddles): 147,82€ + 21% tax
    7L6858339B75R (2 trim pcs): 4,42€ + 21 % tax
(if anyone has cheaper prices, tell me)

    Masta,
je suis flamand, mais je sais parler francais (d'apres moi :) ).
Merci pour l'info, mais je ne peux trouver ces 2 pièces:

    3D0953543B01C (L+R tiptronic paddles)
7L6858339B75R (L+R tiptronic paddles trim panels steering column)

    Great, Thanks
    (don't hesitate to send more)

Is it just me, or do you guys also think that the Design Package looks better on a silver Touareg?
I don't see much difference between a standard black T and a design package equiped black T.
I would prefer black if the lower part of the front and rear spoilers had chrome bars just as the W12 has. But that's not the case.

Still looking for a shadow blue one. (And the VW car configurator pics are too dark according to me)

I understand German, but I'm not very good (at all) at writing it.

I ordered my V6 TDI with the VW Individual design package but I can't choose between silver or black.
Does anyone have pictures of a silver or black T with the VW Individual Design Package?

    Thanks in advance.

(feel free to reply in german)

Thanks for the answer and the detailed instructions :guru:

If I read TDI-Junkie's post I guess the parts cost 69€, now If he could just tell me what I should do to order them, i would be very gratefull.

    Thanks

Sorry for the language, but I don't fully understand everything that was said in this topic.

I also like to order the chrome trim.
How much does it cost (including sending it to Belgium) and how can I order it?

And is it difficult to install (because I'm not that handy)?

    thanks,
    Frederik

If you plan on using the office suite or any program that shows small or medium size fonts, you have to have a VGA screen, because the resolution and sharpness of a normal screen is very bad.
So the existing NAVI screen is out, cause it's no VGA. So you need to find a spot to place the extra vga screen. The only option in front is the center area above the NAVI.
The roof is not possible due to the fact that there's to much already. You can place it in the back just like holger.ihle, but then you have to go to the back to work.
And the there's still the input. Keyboard, Mouse, where are you gonna put those?

If you really want a complete mobile office, consider a chauffeur and install your mobile office in the back :D . If it's just for entertainment consider sup44's solution.

I'll go for the latter! Please keep us posted!

Sorry for my post being in English but my German writing isn't good enough (I can read it however).

Andy from Ross-Tech (company that makes VAG-COM) told me they tried connecting a new CAN BUS adaptor (not available for sale yet) to the Touareg's OBD2 port, but without luck.

I did quite a bit of research on the Can Bus.
The Touareg uses the CAN-BUS but does NOT support can bus diagnosis over the OBD2 port, only K-Line. So I guess this method to play video while driving won't work.

I am however also looking for methods to do this. According to some guys at vwvortex, the only solution will be to reprogram the firmware in the navi. But that is far from easy. Are there guys overhere that know a lot about disassembling programs?

If you would find another way, I would be extremely thankful!
