Greetings from Los Angeles, USA... Owner of a T3 V6 TDI... CATA motor, 225 HP, 403 ft lbs version... Sport model. Some observations I've noted from Club Touareg here in North America.... The vibrations seem to be very infrequent with vehicles that have the 18 inch wheels /tires, and far more frequent in the more expensive lines with 19 or 20 inch wheels.
It should be noted that this vehicle weighs in at 5000 pounds, which is very high in weight for a vehicle of this size and function, for the type of tires... some of us in North America end up running Truck tires on our Touaregs with Load Range "D" or "E" on the tire specifications. These truck tires don't seem to have the issues of a tire designed with a "H" or "V" sedan speed rating, capable of Autobahn type speeds over 160+ kph or more.
Please keep in mind, in North America, we have much lower speed limits, and every road does have a speed limit, so our tire needs may differ from those in the continental European market.
I hope this helps... otherwise, I absolutely love my 2012 Sport TDI... it's great for trailering my 21 foot long 3600 pound travel trailer.
